Hi guys,
Is it at all possible to convert Windows media audio tracks to an MP3 format. The setting in "copy options" is greyed out , and I wonder if perhaps there is a way to enable mp3 conversion. I have some great CD's to convert to mp3, but find I can only convert to WMA. Does sound forge do it???, or Mediajuke box 7???. or am I simply wasting my time???. Thanks in advance.
And a special thanks to "Crash". _For your assistance earlier.![]()

I seem unable to rip my cd wav files to MP3. I am able to rip the files from cd's to a windows media audio file but can't seem to convert them to MP3. I thought perhaps it is to do with windows xp copy protecting them. I have tried both Sound forge and Musicmatch without luck. Perhaps I am doing something incorrectly.- I will try once more. Has anybody else had the same problem?
Why dont you rip to mp3 directly??
Hello
Have a look at this site

They rave about it on here and it is free.
well you have to register it with a postcard and stamp.
I have downloaded it but not installed it yet so I can't say what it is like yet.
But it is meant to rip cd's really well
