      MP3 Conversion (Full)

Problem: ripping Pink Floyd cds into mp3 results in gaps in tracks, spoils the cd when converted back.

Can you convert entire cd into 1 mp3?

      any software to do this?

for those of you who don't know who pink floyd are, you can go back to sleep!

Of course you can rip a whole CD to a single MP3 file (you will also get a cuesheet file so if you burn it back to audio CD the tracks will be separated again at once). The proggy to do that is Exact Audio Copy, and its the best audio stuff around and freeware (or rather cardware).

someone ripped The Wall by pink floyd and gave me a copy but it has gap where it should be continous. Tried to get nero to take the 2 second gap out but its not thaat good.

got eac, will give it a try.

      cheers

the only issue is if EAC supports your burner properly, the output to burn is always at cue/ file format... Plwxtors and Ricohs burn exchellent with EAC, others so-so. But anyway you can always use CDRWin, Nero or VOB 6 to burn your cued image(s).

Getting BSOD and EAC states no audio cd in drive when there is.

Could it be that EAC is not compatable with Windows XP?

Have a look here for all the info you need about gapless encoding:

      h**p://www.guillaume.tk

P.S. WinXP Pro NL over here, and using ASPI 4.70 and EAC 0.9 b2 audio extraction works just fine here.
