So i will take a 2 way approach
the answer to your question is NO.
When you record from line-in its saved as either .wav or .mp3 depending on what software and what setting you use.
If you want to burn a cd with the sound that is coming in through the line-in then that is also impossible. You have to save the file to hdd 1st.
