kpdf of the new KDE desktop (3.4.0) is pretty close... you can select text and icons and copypaste them anywhere, and there's also seamless Konqueror integration. But while kpdf has improved impressively on KDE 3.4.0, it cannot STILL read DRM protected pdf files. For that, you do need Acrobat Reader 7.
